About the Role
Supporting BHP’s Copper South Australia Major Projects team, the Program Project Quality role provides technical expertise in development and coordination of Quality Management strategies, standards and frameworks. This role will ensure that assets are designed, fabricated, manufactured and constructed in accordance with project requirements.
This position will be full-time (Monday to Friday) based in Adelaide.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Determine minimum quality requirements, support development and execution of quality management plans and review quality activities to enable the achievement of quality objectives across BHP projects. Monitor HSE compliance and apply appropriate methodologies/standards to deliver effective construction projects across BHP.
- Identify, engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
- Identify and assess risks and make risk informed decisions
- Use BHP's risk management framework and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes
- Designs and implement governance/assurance practices and Management of Change procedures to control value outcomes across BHP
About You
As the successful applicant you will be able to demonstrate the following:
- Relevant experience in Quality Management within the resources sector
- Previous experience in major projects
- Sound understanding of ISO 9001 Principles
- Ability to engage and influence internal and external stakeholders, consultants and contractors
- Good technical and communication skills, including the ability to analyse data and produce concise reports and presentations.
- Strong strategic thinking and planning
- Solutions focused with a proactive approach to problem solving
- Demonstrated strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work collaboratively
- Tertiary qualification in Engineering, Quality, Construction or similar is preferred
