About the Role
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor the Refrigeration Technician will undertake day-to-day preventative maintenance activities and breakdown repairs of industrial and commercial installations in a safe and efficient manner to ensure a high level of plant and customer satisfaction onsite at Mining Area C and South Flank Operations. The location of this role is within the Integrated Maintenance Execution Electrical Team based at one of our Pilbara locations on an 8/6:7/7 roster.
Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor Integrated Maintenance Execution your role will include but not be limited to:
- Demonstrate an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development at all times;
- Undertake preventative maintenance inspections of plant and equipment;
- Ensure adequate scoping of corrective work to facilitate the planning process;
- Cultivate positive relationships through effective communication and consultation;
- Take a proactive role in maintaining appropriate standards of behaviour;
- Participate within the Village Maintenance team to implement business plans consistent with site strategies / plans;
- Monitor the village maintenance work plan and escalate unplanned and non-routine activity or performance to the Supervisor;
- Perform all aspects of planned, breakdown and shutdown activities in regard to site refrigeration equipment.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will possess the following:
- Trade Certificate, Refrigeration Mechanic
- Full Refrigerant Handling Licence registered with the Australian Refrigeration Council (ARC)
- Valid Australian driver’s license
- EWP, Forklift, Working at Heights Certificates (desirable)
- Experience in industrial and commercial refrigeration systems.
- Plant chiller and substation package unit knowledge
- FIFO site maintenance and operation background highly (desirable).
- Computer Literacy to use the following systems - 1SAP, Fiori, MS Excel and Word
