About the Role

 

We currently have vacancies for Mechanical Dragline/Shovel Fitters to join our field maintenance crews at Saraji Coal Mine in QLD. We are offering both 4/3 & 6/6 (3XD/3XN) rosters.

 

 

You will be responsible for the maintenance and repair of our dragline and rope shovel fleets. The successful applicant will require post mechanical trade experience, within the mining industry, and proven experience within this field of expertise.

 

  

  • Disassembling / assembling of dragline, shovel, and associated componentry.
  • Planned and unplanned rope work.  
  • Diagnosing, analysing, and repairing draglines and shovels. 
  • Creating a safe learning environment and a commitment to safety training and technical growth

 

About you:

 

  • Relevant mechanical trade qualification
  • A proven commitment to safety
  • The ability to foster a teamwork atmosphere within your work group
  • Ability to adapt and evolve in a very fast paced mechanical environment
  • Demonstrated prior experience working with draglines and rope shovels
  • Forklift and dogging tickets preferred – but not essential
