About the Role

We have an exciting opportunity for experienced, qualified, and safety-focused Scraper Technicians to join our Port Operations Mechanical Conveyor Maintenance Team. Operating FIFO from Perth on an 8/6, 7/7 or our Dynamic roster (182 shifts a year) with rosters published 4 weeks in advance, you will work alongside a supportive and inclusive team that embraces diversity and continuous improvement. Reporting to the Port Operations Mechanical Supervisor, you will bring a positive attitude, a drive to develop your skills, and a passion for working as part of a high-performing team.

 

 Your responsibilities include but are not limited to:

  • Complete planned maintenance activities in line with daily and weekly schedules and documented procedures.
  • Perform scraper and plough inspections, maintenance, rebuilds, troubleshooting, installations, and breakdown change-outs.
  • Conduct conveyor and roller inspections across plant equipment, including shutdown preparation activities.
  • Operate workshop and mobile equipment safely and effectively.
  • Maintain a clean, safe work environment and actively participate in safe start and operational meetings.
  • Utilise maintenance systems and tools (including SAP/Fiori), while contributing to continuous improvement, training, and team capability development. 

 

 

About You

 

  • Certificate 3 Mechanical Trade
  • Prior experience maintaining conveyor belt cleaners within heavy industry
  • Knowledge of Flexco and Hosch products & standards (desirable)
  • Safety focus and strong attention to detail
  • Must be able and willing to perform work that is repetitive in nature
  • You will be a strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude
  • Willingness to learn and further develop
  • Ability to be flexible in working routines to align with scheduled work.
