About the Role
Join our high-performing Mechanical Conveyor Maintenance Team within our Port Hedland Operations and play a critical role in keeping our operations running safely and efficiently.
We’re looking for Trade-Qualified Mechanical Fitters who thrive in a hands-on environment and take pride in delivering quality work. This position operates on an 8/6 day-shift roster, offering stability and balance.

Your responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Perform conveyor and roller inspections, scraper rebuilds and troubleshooting across plant systems.
- Execute maintenance tasks, installations, and change-outs during breakdowns and shutdowns.
- Operate workshop and mobile equipment safely while maintaining a clean work environment.
- Follow documented maintenance procedures and participate in safety and operational meetings.
- Use computer systems (Microsoft Suite, 1SAP, FIORI) and meet KPIs set by leadership.
About You
- Trade Qualified Mechanical Fitter (Certificate III in Engineering - Mechanical Trade).
- Mechanical trade qualification with strong technical aptitude and problem-solving skills.
- Experience in conveyor maintenance and knowledge of system components (highly desirable).
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, adapt to change, and maintain quality standards.
- Strong communication, teamwork, and commitment to safety aligned with Charter Values.
- Proficient or quick learner in 1SAP and Microsoft Suite; leadership experience advantageous.
