About the Role
 

We're building a talent pool of experienced Scraper Technicians and Individual’s with minimum 2 years servicing conveyor components specifically related to Skirts and scrapers to support future opportunities across our operations. By joining our talent community, you'll be considered for upcoming vacancies as they arise, enabling us to connect talented professionals with opportunities quickly and efficiently.

 

Our roles have various rosters including our Dynamic roster with rosters published 4 weeks in advance to make up 182 days a year supporting our shutdown team across all BHP WAIO sites.

 

Daily jobs could include but not limited to:

  • Maintain & service a range of belt cleaners, inclusive of Primary/Secondary/Tertiary belt cleaners, V & diagonal ploughs, water control boards & spray bars,
  • Troubleshooting to resolve issues with plant & equipment,
  • Collaborating with the wider team to support sustainable operation of plant,
  • Adherence to a scheduled plan of work,
  • Quality assurance activities & detailed reporting,
  • Assist in WIN development & revision for complex systems.
  • Assist with scheduled maintenance aligning with all conveyor components

 

About You

We are looking for the following:

  • Prior experience maintaining conveyor belt cleaners within heavy industry,
  • Knowledge of Flexco products & standards desirable,
  • Knowledge of Hosch products & standards desirable
  • Must have a strong attention to detail,
  • Must be able and willing to perform work that is repetitive in nature,
  • Must have strong safety ethics,
  • You will be a strong team player with a ‘can do’ attitude,
  • Willingness to learn and further develop,
  • Ability to be flexible in working routines to align with scheduled work.
