About the Role

 

We are seeking a talented professional to join our team in the role of Senior Engineer Scheduling. Reporting to the Superintendent Production Execution, this is an exciting leadership role, accountable to provide strategic direction and excellence in mine scheduling and analytics to support our operations. This is a permanent position based at Mining Area C on a FIFO 5/2, 4/3 roster from Perth. 

 

Working in an inspiring and challenging environment, you will be responsible for overseeing the generation of the 24 hour mine schedules, analysing mine performance data, and integration with other technical and operational teams. You will shape and drive improvement through leadership of a team of technical engineers and analysts and be instrumental driving core production routines. You will work with our stakeholders at and across sites to support execution of mine plans and delivery of best practice in mining operations. This role is key to deliver value, provide a safe working environment and embed sustainable improvements in the planning and daily execution.

 

About You

 

You will have a collaborative approach, with the ability to engage and influence diverse stakeholder groups and positively influence outcomes. Your excellent communication skills include a deep understanding of stakeholder needs and preferences and an ability to support leadership teams by providing context and insight, being able to articulate risks and potential opportunities within the plans to facilitate decision-making and strategic direction.
 
Experience preferred includes: 

 

  • Previous experience within a mining engineering/technical role with strong leadership capabilities built through mining experience.
  • Seeking to continuously improve both efficiency and value of the process through work planning practices and procedures, as well as identifying opportunities for efficiencies in the operation
  • Identifying and implementing cultural and process improvement initiatives within the team/operation
  • Ability to deploy practical problem solving to address a range of issues or opportunities in mine planning and execution.
