Based in Perth, Western Australia, in the multi award winning office tower - ‘City Square’ on a Lifestyle roster - 2 days 2 nights 5 off, 2 days 3 nights 4 off. You will have stunning river views from your modern open plan office, state of the art facilities including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing facilities, 550 bicycle racks with ample lockers, showers and change room amenities and a large outdoor terrace with barbecues.

About The Role

Reporting to the Port Control Supervisor, the Senior Port Controller is to provide additional leadership and technical expertise on shift. Coverage for the Supervisor Port Control when required will be one of the responsibilities of the role.  They shall carry out the normal function of a Port Controller but also maintain a bigger picture view to ensure that company standards are met, while achieving the safe and efficient execution of the Port Control Plan.



Other key responsibilities include;


  • Plant Monitoring and Control
  • Delay accounting
  • Faultfinding and recovery
  • Adherence to plan, and optimizing where possible.
  • Responsible for ensuring that production decisions made throughout the shift, are in line with the current operating standards
  • Act as a mentor for trainees or less experienced controllers
  • Assist the Supervisor in improving the standards and culture of the team

About You

As the successful candidate, you will offer:


  • A demonstrated commitment to Health, Safety and the environment is essential
  • Experience in control systems operation in similar industry
  • Previous processing plant operating experience
  • Previous experience in a leadership role
  • Port Controller Experience
  • Logistics experience will be well regarded
  • PMAC/Citech
  • High degree of computer literacy
