About the Role
Mt Arthur Coal are looking for a Senior SRF Scheduler to join our Short Term Planning team within Technical Services to help develop safe and efficient mine schedules. The role is offered as a Mon-Fri work week.
Some of your responsibilities include;
- The ability to manage, engage, lead and coach a team of technical personnel
- Be a visible and active safety leader
- Mentor and guide the broader teams of production, planning and scheduling engineers to ensure that the designs and mine plans supporting the monthly to 6 month integrated planning horizons are delivered on time, to a high quality.
- Identify, assess, manage, and communicate risks to the execution of the mine plan to senior leadership.
- Monitor and track operational execution against mine plans.
- Effectively communicate planning outputs to internal and external stakeholders;
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with key stakeholders to deliver key design objectives.
About You
As the successful candidate, you will have a tertiary qualification in Mine Engineering or related discipline. 5+ years of mining engineering/technical experience.
A strong working knowledge and/or experience base across the following aspects is required:
- Deswik and/or Vulcan
- SPRY (or equivalent) scheduling software
- Experience in opencut mining, with drill and blast, mine planning and scheduling exposure. Exposure to through-seam mining highly regarded.
- A high level of competence in mining software applications used for planning and scheduling, with Spry and Deswik highly regarded
