About the Role:
Group Treasury holds the Group-wide mandate to maintain a strong balance sheet and manage all financial market exposures. We achieve this by embedding strategic insight and best in class execution of creative, value-generating and proactive structuring solutions.
Within this mandate, you will assist Treasury to create and protect value by accessing financial markets to deliver liquidity and balance sheet strength to BHP.
Within this role, you will:
- Administer deal entry for the Treasury Financial Markets Team
- Execute the Treasury Operations team’s transactional processing of confirmations and settlements for FX, money market derivative and debt transactions
- Support Treasury Operations in the maintenance of the Group’s bank accounts
- Coordinate master data updates for Treasury’s banking partners and internal companies
- Maintain day to day relationships with key internal stakeholders
- Support the Corporate Finance team on implementing and maintaining internal funding structures
- Co-ordinate with the Technology team on updates made to the Group ERP (SAP)
- Co-ordinate ISDA negotiations between Treasury’s banking partners and Group Legal
- Support Treasury teams in Know Your Customer requests
About You:
You will bring strong engagement skills, including the ability to build effective relationships with individuals at all levels and experience in delivering solutions to management.
SAP knowledge and experience with electronic banking platforms is essential.
- Significant experience of a Treasury function, with a working knowledge of financial products and cash management
- Ability to work collaboratively with key stakeholders and functional teams to deliver value
- Advanced Excel is essential and knowledge of SAP and TRM
- Creates a culture of continuous improvement, accountability and delivery of value-added results
- Enthusiastic, confident self-starter, with the ability to work equally well in a team or autonomously
- Attention to detail, with the ability to meet deadlines and problem solve
- Strong business awareness, commercial mind-set and risk awareness skills
