About the Role

 

We are looking to engage with experienced and entry level Lubrication Technicians for roles within our  Maintenance teams in Newman. You will be responsible for monitoring, inspecting and maintaining Equipment in line with the preventative maintenance strategies.

 

Residential positions are now available in Newman.

 

  • Lifestyle roster (4 days on, 5 off, 5 days on, 4 off, 4 days on, 4 off etc) 
  • Housing and utility subsidies provided.
  • Relocation assistance if required.


Technicians with mechanical equipment knowledge that drive the frontline application of “Five Rs” of lubrication (Right Type, Quantity, Quality, Location, Time) will be highly regarded. Nevertheless, extensive training will be provided to the right motivated candidates. The core focus of this role is to conduct preventative inspections and corrective actions arising from condition-based inspections. 


Key responsibilities in this role include (but are not limited to):

 

  • Oil change out and sampling
  • Checking and filling lubricant & hydraulic tanks
  • Stock monitoring
  • Filter change out and lubrication system maintenance
  • Breather maintenance and replacement
  • Lubrication system top-up and maintenance and oil analysis

 


About You

 

We are seeking an energetic and motivated person for the position of Lubrication Technician. Individuals must be passionate about continuous improvement and ensure a constant compliance with all safety standards, policies, guidelines and procedures. Have a strong interest in fixed plant equipment, heavy machinery and materials handling equipment from mining or minerals processing industry. Our ideal candidate should have some exposure in the maintenance area and have some knowledge of the tasks related to fixed plant or mobile equipment lubrication activities.

 

To be considered for this position, you will ideally have the following: 

 

  • Mechanically qualified or technically minded and interested in working in a ‘hands on’ role.
  • Mining or heavy industrial/manufacturing experience would be highly regarded
  • Experience with completing lubrication inspections, changing oil and taking oil samples, greasing and lubricating equipment is advantageous
  • Basic Lubrication Couse (Highly Desirable)
  • A valid C Class Driver’s Licence is essential (HR Licence desirable)
  • Forklift Licence/EWP is an advantage but can be provided
  • Ensure compliance to all relevant safety standards
  • High levels of planning, organising and ability to prioritise tasks
  • Ability to work as part of a diverse team
  • Ability to work to deadlines and remain calm under pressure
  • Effective listening and strong interpersonal skill
