About the Role

 

Leinster Underground Mine is currently under Temporary Suspension, the mine remains accessed by a shaft and decline. The mine operation currently extends to maintaining the dewatering system, ventilation, electrical reticulation as well as 3 drills performing ground support rehabilitation of the existing workings. Support these activities are service crews.

 

The operation is seeking to permanently appoint an experienced Servicecrew Person to join the team.

 

Day to Day Duties:

  • Managing and maintaining secondary pump systems
  • Moving and re-establishing mine services to allow mine rehabilitation activity
  • Carrying out a check scaling program
  • Maintaining secondary ventilation systems including fan installation
  • Operating Integrated Tool Carriers (IT) and working at height in a workbasket to carry out the tasks
  • Setting up rehabilitation sites for the jumbo’s including delivery of ground support
  • Supporting the jumbo operators from time to time.
  • Operate the stores truck in delivering ground support, cement, consumables and other items from the surface to underground

About You

 

  • Previous underground servicecrew experience is a must with the demonstrated ability to be think for yourself, work with minimal supervision, including identifying problems and solving in the field.
  • IT experience is a must, and other previous underground HV experience is desirable.
  • Valid AU Driver's License
  • You're comfortable working in an underground environment.
  • Safety Mindset: A genuine commitment to looking out for yourself and your mates and engaging in our safety processes.
