About the Role


The Site Infrastructure team are looking for enthusiastic qualified Electricians, the role will see you continue to develop your current electrical trade skills whilst learning what it means to work on site at our Port Hedland Port Operations. This is a residential role on an even time day shift only roster working 5 days on 4 days off, 4 days on and 5 days off rotation.

 

Reporting to the Electrical Supervisor, within the Site Services team your duties will include: 

 

  • Electrical maintenance in line with the relevant electrical standards on small light and power across site.
  • Working from schematic drawings, prints, plans or manuals, and recording any modifications. 
  • Diagnosing and repairing electrical faults 
  • Having a sound understanding of AS3000, AS3008, AS3017;
  • Working across multiple locations around the Port Hedland area including Nelson Point, Finucane Island and exposure to our rail workshops.
  • Carrying out all activities within the whole - of - job scope, including pre-work, JHA, organising materials, execution, testing and completion of tasks. 
  • Ensuring that we meet out statutory obligations in accordance to Mine Safety Inspection Act

 

About You 

 

As the successful candidate, you will possess the following: 

 

  • Current WA 'A' Grade Electrical Licence or ability to have your interstate qualification converted 
  • Ability to obtain MSIC & PPA access card
  • C Class manual drivers’ licence 
  • WAH and EWP HRWL


The following experience and qualifications are desirable but more important is a willingness to learn:

 

  • Dogging and Rigging Certificates.
