About the Role

 

EMP CPPM uses new and innovative approaches to mine planning for stable, predictable business plan delivery. EMP CPPM specifically centres on managing the critical paths in execution using a project management approach to reduce variability and increase bottleneck performance, delivering stable mining operations for BMA.

 

Reporting to the EMP Superintendent, the CPPM Project Manager oversees our operational teams whilst working closely with our Mine Scheduling and Planning teams. Our Enterprise Mining Probabilistic team (EMP) are seeking a Specialist CPPM Project Management to join a technically motivated and results-driven team. Working within a core group, this role will be responsible for the day-to-day project management support for the execution of the Week +1 project schedule.

 

To achieve this, you will be responsible to:

 

· Ensure the safe execution of the enabling project 24hr plan

· Maintain a strong understanding of the project plan and what is required for plan delivery across all execution teams

· Monitor and manage the performance of the plan using PDCA cycle, escalation protocol and associated TARPs.

· Identify and assess risk, make risk informed decisions and build a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes

· Integration with production execution supervisors to support scoping and resource allocate enabling activities, including capturing sources of variability impacted the delivery of tasks

· Provide “Record of Facts” and information to support reconciliation, decision making & problem solving

· Ensure where there is plan variability that Scheduled Impact Assessments are performed and feedback and improvement given to impacted teams

About You

 

As a successful candidate you will have a passion for Project Management within the coal mining industry, to build, shape and support our multi-disciplined, diverse team as we strive for high performance, embracing inclusivity and valuing diversity, technical expertise and leadership. Ideally you will have

 

· Mine Planning Experience and/ or high level of operational leadership experience

· Critical & Systems Thinking

· Independent Learning

· Influencing Skills

· Evaluation of probabilistic trade-offs including costs trade-off of risk controls

· Manage Risk

· High levels of systems experience
