About the Role

 

We are seeking for a Specialist Commissioning to join the WA Asset Projects Technical team.

 

This role supports commissioning planning and execution across assigned projects to ensure activities are safe, efficient, and aligned with WAAP requirements. You will work closely with commissioning specialists, project teams, and operational stakeholders to support successful project start up and ramp up.

 

This position is based in Perth (site travel required) at the award winning City Square building. The workspace features modern open plan facilities with river views, state of the art technology including virtual whiteboards and video conferencing, and extensive end of trip amenities such as 550 bicycle racks, lockers, showers, and change rooms.

 

The role operates on a Monday–Friday roster, with flexible work options available. Ad-hoc site travel will be expected to fulfil these duties.

Roles and Responsibilities:

 

  • Ensuring commissioning strategies align with WAAP initiatives.
  • Supporting the commissioning team in coordinating resources for planning and safe execution.
  • Assisting in the application of commissioning standards, processes, methodologies, and systems across assigned projects.
  • Collaborating with project and operational stakeholders to support effective start up and ramp up.
  • Providing technical input to support commissioning requirements within approved project plans.
  • Professionally influencing stakeholders across Studies, Delivery, Operations, Maintenance, Engineering and Technology to achieve optimised outcomes.

About You

 

This role requires strong stakeholder engagement skills and a performance focused, achievement oriented mindset.

 

  • Significant experience in Commissioning and/or site operations.
  • Tertiary Engineering qualifications or relevant trade background.
  • Technical proficiency in electrical, mechanical, instrumentation or controls disciplines.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • Excellent stakeholder management capability, including experience engaging senior leaders, cross functional teams, and external partners.
