About the Role

We are seeking a Contractor Management Specialist within our Integrated Services team, reporting to the Copper SA Contractor Management Superintendent. Supporting our team’s purpose of Enabling Sustainable Contractor Management across Copper SA, this role is accountable for delivering Asset wide improvement initiatives, strengthening governance and assurance and uplifting capability across contractor management processes, tools and systems. This role will work closely with Site stakeholders, Contract Owners/Job Initiators and Senior Leaders to improve compliance, effectiveness and standardisation of contractor management practices across the Asset.

 

This role will be based in our Adelaide office on a Monday to Friday roster, with occasional site visits.

 

Role Responsibilities:

  • Delivering Asset wide Improvements to uplift Contractor Management
  • Act as custodian of the Copper SA Integrated Management System (IMS) 11.1 – Contractor Management Standard and associated tools and systems
  • Develop, manage and deliver project plans relating to process improvements and updates to documentation, tools and systems
  • Manage change through collaboration, consultation and effective communication with Site stakeholders, subject matter experts and Senior Leadership
  • Execute implementation plans including facilitation of workshops and forums, delivery of training and technical support and capture and action of voice of customer feedback
  • Undertaking Asset wide verification and governance to monitor and improve compliance and effectiveness
  • Complete Site and Asset level verification and assurance activities to confirm contractor management requirements are being met
  • Support Contract Owners, Job Initiators, Contractor Users and Contractors to close compliance gaps and identify opportunities to improve or better implement contractor management processes
  • Monitor, analyse and report contractor management compliance and effectiveness, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership
  • Providing coaching and upskilling on Contractor Management processes, tools and systems
  • Deliver workshops and targeted coaching to support stakeholders in meeting contractor management requirements
  • Provide technical support and guidance through query resolution and time in field or go and see engagements on Site
  • Drive standardisation through collaboration with Site representatives via the Copper SA Contractor Management Working Group

About You

  • A strong team player who shows initiative, collaborates effectively and is motivated to deliver continuous improvement
  • Demonstrated experience in contractor management, including prior experience as a Contract Owner or in a contractor management role
  • Proven experience in project management, stakeholder and change management, governance and continuous improvement delivery
  • Strong written and verbal communication and presentation skills, with the ability to engage diverse audiences including senior leadership and Contractors
  • A passion for process improvement and problem solving, with strong attention to detail
  • Well organised, proactive and able to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment
  • Intermediate to advanced Microsoft Office capability, particularly in Excel, Word and PowerPoint
  • Experience leading internal audits and participating in external audits is advantageous
