About the Role

 
We are seeking a highly motivated, energetic, and talented individual to join the Portfolio Sourcing, Infrastructure & Decarbonisation (PSID) team within Global Procurement. In this role, you will collaborate closely with internal stakeholders across all Assets and Functions, as well as external partners and innovators, to help shape BHP’s decarbonisation strategy and pathway toward achieving net zero targets. This position reports directly to the Manager, Decarbonisation. 

 

This role will play a key part in supporting the commercial rail and mines decarbonisation workstream - a critical and strategically important scope across the BHP decarbonisation landscape. The successful candidate will work in close collaboration with the Procurement Decarbonisation team, key internal stakeholders in Operational Decarbonisation, and the broader Procurement and Asset teams to deliver impactful outcomes that advance our pathway to net zero. 

 

Accountabilities 

 

  • Collaborate across teams to support category and sourcing strategies that considers all requirements for decarbonisation. 
  • Support engagement with third party OEMs and internal stakeholders in the acceleration of decarbonisation solutions and opportunities. 
  • Support the delivery of commercial strategies which enable our teams to meet their strategic priorities. 
  • Support Procurement teams in development and review of sourcing strategies, tender evaluations and emissions reduction initiatives. 

 

About You

 

  • Experience in Procurement or related commercial roles. 
  • Strong commercial acumen, demonstrating the ability to identify and embed innovative commercial models and solutions.
  • Strong collaboration, stakeholder engagement and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience in strategic decision making.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, fast-paced environments.
  • Demonstrated proficiency in procurement, tendering processes and tools.
  • Experience with negotiating mutually beneficial outcomes with commercial partners and/or industry peers.
