Key Responsibilities
- Support the execution of Technology projects and delivery activities in alignment with approved project objectives, scope, schedule, budget, and performance requirements.
- Monitor project performance, identify potential deviations, and contribute to project controls, reporting, and performance improvement initiatives.
- Assist with project planning and scheduling activities, ensuring key milestones, dependencies, and critical path activities are effectively managed.
- Support contractor and contract management activities, including contract administration, performance monitoring, and issue resolution.
- Champion a strong safety culture by promoting compliance with health, safety, environmental, and operational requirements.
- Identify, assess, and manage project risks and opportunities while supporting informed decision-making and proactive mitigation strategies.
- Build and maintain effective relationships with internal and external stakeholders to support project delivery and alignment across teams.
- Investigate issues, determine root causes, and contribute practical solutions to complex project and construction challenges.
- Identify opportunities to improve systems, processes, and ways of working that enhance efficiency, safety, and project outcomes.
- Deliver high-quality outcomes while maintaining a customer-focused mindset and commitment to operational excellence.

What You'll Bring to the Role
You are a collaborative and technically capable project professional with a passion for delivering safe, efficient, and successful project outcomes.
You'll bring:
- Ability to motivate and guide teams toward project goals.
- Clear communication with stakeholders, clients, and team members.
- Ability to quickly address challenges and make informed decisions.
- Ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
- Familiarity with project management tools such as Microsoft Project, Gantt charts, Kanban boards, and AI-enabled software.
- Ability to navigate changing project requirements and maintain team cohesion.
- Experience supporting the delivery of Technology projects in the mining, industrial, infrastructure, engineering, or resource sector.
- Strong understanding of project delivery principles, execution, contractor management, project controls, scheduling, or contract administration.
- The ability to monitor and interpret project performance related to schedule, cost, risk, resources, and delivery objectives.
- A demonstrated commitment to health, safety, environment, and sustainable work practices.
- Experience working with contractors, consultants, suppliers, and cross-functional project teams.
- Strong stakeholder engagement, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Proven analytical thinking and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to evaluate issues and identify practical solutions.
- A continuous improvement mindset focused on improving performance, simplifying processes, and delivering value.
- Sound judgment and the ability to balance risk, opportunity, and business outcomes.
- A collaborative, inclusive, and accountable approach aligned with BHP's Charter Values.
- Experience in Technology project delivery in large-scale construction, mining, heavy industrial, or major project environments will be highly regarded.
Recommended
- Certifications: PMP (Project Management Professional) or equivalent certification.
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Business, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
