About the Role
Reporting to the Manager Planning and Reporting Minerals Americas, this role is integral to ensuring that the Minerals America region consolidates non-operated JVs and reports key management information and financial to a wide variety of stakeholders. In this role you will:
- Demonstrate and instil an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Demonstrate commitment to the BHP Charter and Code of Business Conduct.
- Assist with the consolidation and preparation of forecasts and budgets and monthly results.
- Provide regular and ad hoc financial information with appropriate guidance through dynamic and technologically advanced reporting tools enabling timely and well-informed business decisions.
- Influence and identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis connecting value drivers of the business with financial outcomes.
- Complete routine reporting deliverables accurately and on a timely basis comparing actual performance vs budget, changes in plans and analyse key business scenarios that influences stakeholders to consider alternatives and opportunities.
- Prepare and submit financial and management reports to internal and external stakeholders complying with regulatory requirements.
- Assist in the collation and preparation of external Operational Reviews and Results Announcements
- Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are completed on time.

- Influence and support senior stakeholders in decision-making through presentation and analysis of data connecting the drivers of business value with financial results.
- Ability to work with large sets of financial and non-financial data quickly and precisely.
- Demonstrates a strong understanding of Equity Accounting Investment under IAS 28.
- Ability to influence, persuade and negotiate internally and externally.
- Strong business awareness and risk awareness skills.

Professional experience and skills
- Bachelor degree related to: Finance, Accounting, Commercial, Engineering or Business Administration.
- At least 5 years of experience, and with 3 years of experience in Management Reporting (Budgeting and Forecasting) or Accounting.
- Hands on experience with systems and tools such as SAP, SAC, Power BI and Microsoft Office applications.
- Fluent Spanish and working English, written and spoken.
- Experience in the mining / manufacturing industry, or previous experience with non-operated JVs
