About the Role
This role is integral to ensuring that the Minerals Americas region consolidates Minerals America’s assets and reports key periodic management information and financials to a wide variety of stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Support the broader Minerals Americas Finance and other key stakeholder teams to deliver on the Finance purpose:
- Assist with the consolidation and preparation of forecasts and budgets and monthly reporting of Minerals America’s regional consolidated results.
- Demonstrate and instil an overriding commitment to health, safety, environmental responsibility and sustainable development.
- Provide regular and ad hoc financial information with appropriate guidance through dynamic and technologically advanced reporting tools enabling timely and well-informed business decisions.
- Prepare and submit periodic financial and management reports to internal and external stakeholders complying with regulatory requirements, also including mandatory periodic compliance survey reporting.
- Ensure all regulatory and compliance requirements are completed on time.
- Provide high quality governance over monthly reporting of data output including SAP/consolidated data and its underpinning data sources to ensure high quality monitoring of monthly, quarterly, half yearly and annual reporting.
- Act as a SAP/Systems specialist & expert to ensure appropriate governance is maintained over system processes & reports used across the consolidated region.
- Engage and influence a wide range of stakeholders, including senior management. This includes challenging, agitating, seeking feedback and buy-in as options are defined, assessed and determined.
- Assist with and execute 2YB & quarterly forecast financial submissions for Minerals Americas Other Copper areas including preparation of instructions and high-quality presentation materials.
- Influence and identify opportunities for improvement through data analysis connecting value drivers of the business with financial outcomes.
- Keep up to date with latest trends and best practices in planning, business intelligence and advanced analytics.
- Liaise with stakeholders to provide assistance with queries and requests.
- Demonstrate commitment to the BHP Charter and Code of Business Conduct.
About You
- Degree qualification in Finance, Accounting, Commercial, Engineering or Business Administration.
- Minimum of 5+ years' experience working with a large corporate or professional environment in a business planning capacity.
- Demonstrated financial planning process knowledge, data analytics and diagnosis with a continuous improvement mindset.
- Experience working with SAP S4 H, Business Planning and Consolidation (BPC) (embedded), SAP Analytics Cloud planning and PowerBI highly advantageous
- Strong interpersonal skills, stakeholder engagement and ability to work autonomously and collaboratively to deliver as needed.
- Bilingual Spanish and English (written and verbal)
