About the Role
Provides specialist advice and executes tasks in the development and monitoring of plans and schedules, baselines, activity completion, identification of trends and corrective/preventative actions to influence on-time delivery of the project’s objectives.
- Manage stakeholder expectation through proactive customer engagement and receiving feedback.
- Effectively communicates with all stakeholders, including internal and external customers.
- Develops summary and detailed schedules for a program or project.
- Develops baseline schedule and monitor/analyse current schedule against established baseline.
- Develops schedule range model for schedule range/risk analysis and participates in ranging workshops, analysis and preparation of schedule range/risk reports.
- Reviews and provides constructive feedback on contractor schedules and reports.
- Provides planning and conceptual sequencing expertise for the development of engineering, procurement, construction, commissioning and operational readiness activities including assignment of resources.
- Identifies activities or sequences of activities that are material and critical to the project and business unit and effectively communicates these to the appropriate members of the project team.
- Monitors critical path activities on a regular basis and provides update and analysis including possible mitigation efforts that must be undertaken to minimise impacts.
- Develops planned progress curves and analyse monthly progress.
- Validates ongoing implementation of functional planning and scheduling strategies to optimise the schedule in response to changing project conditions.
- Assists in reporting program level dashboards and reports.
- Integrates contractor/other function schedules in to an overall program/project schedule and provide monthly updates against the baseline.
- Uses established scheduling best practices and standard systems and tools in the development and maintenance of baseline and current schedules.
- Prepares weekly and monthly reports and dashboard for the program/project.
About You
- Relevant tertiary qualification in a business/trade-related discipline or demonstrated equivalent business experience
- Advanced Excel Skills
- Strong problem-solving skills including organising and analyzing multiple data sources.
- Strong communication skills (written and verbal), collaboration and interpersonal skills and able to work autonomouslyPrevious commercial, project management or quantity surveying experience on capital projects in the mining, resources or oil and gas industry would be well regarded
- Project management software experience with applications such as Stature, Aconex, Acumen Fuse, Ecosys
