About the Role



Reporting to the Engineering Superintendent, you will be responsible for providing specialist technical expertise to the operation. This will involve the execution of tasks associated with providing electrical engineering technical support and ensuring a robust risk and benefit-based assessment process is followed for engineering applications.

 

This opportunity is being offered at our Caval Ridge Mine on a 4/3 roster.

 

You will be required to:

 

• Confirming statutory requirements are met, rectify and report issues;

• Development and improvement of Engineering Management Systems;

• Confirmation of compliance in areas of design, installation & maintenance;

• Monitoring of maintenance work to ensure compliance with relevant requirements and standards;

• Implement Risk Management Processes, in particular verifying effectiveness of critical controls;

• Managing the records of electrical installations, commissioning procedures & records, authorised electrical persons & authorised people to enter electrical areas;

• Issue and accept current and accurate technical documentation for the Operation to the assets projects and Major projects function and;

• Provides engineering technical services to the Operation to ensure they meet relevant standards and are aligned to designed/agreed operating principles.

About You



• You will preferably hold tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering. Advanced Diploma of Electrical Engineering or Electrical Trade.

• You will have experience working in mining, minerals processing, or another heavy industrial environment.

• Detailed understanding of engineering principles, standards and processes with a demonstrated practical and hands on approach

• Well-developed communication and engagement skills with an interest in providing technical leadership, governance, support and solutions.

• The ability to influence and build a relationship with a range of stakeholders at all levels of a business

• Being a collaborative team player, committed to delivering results and able to operate with a high level of autonomy

• Engineering registration and/or Chartered Professional Engineer (CPEng) status is desirable
