About Potash

BHP’s Jansen Potash Project located approximately 140 km east of Saskatoon, Saskatchewan is BHP’s first and most advanced potash project. Jansen will add diversity and a Canadian presence to BHP’s global portfolio. Jansen’s large resource endowment provides the opportunity to develop it in stages, with anticipated initial capacity of 4.35 Mtpa. The BHP Board has recently sanctioned Jansen Project (Stage 1), with a US $5.7 billion investment. The project is now entering the construction phase, with the first potash expected in 2027.

Purpose

An exciting role within the Potash HR Business Partner team that will support the business in the strategy of, and advisory on, HR matters. This role will play a key role in supporting the leaders within the Integrated Project Team.

About the Role

In this role, you will:

  • Create trust and credibility with leaders through consistent and reliable servicer delivery support which contributes to operational excellence in the HR function
  • Contribute to the provision of on-demand HR support to Leaders and prioritised HR project support for the business
  • Work with leaders to advise on day-to-day HR matters
  • Ensuring accurate HR administration of end-to-end employee processes
  • Determine the underlying cause of problems and evaluate multiple solutions to ensure a planned and structured approach to solving problems 
  • Assess change impacts to prepare integrated change management plans, manages change readiness and resistance and coach leaders and impacted stakeholders in the adoption and successful delivery of the change. Ability to analyse business requirements and align and implement HR strategy across multiple teams
  • Contribute to the deployment of programs, training and initiatives that contribute to a highly engaged workforce
  • Implement and monitor progress against an integrated culture plan and Inclusion & Diversity strategy
  • Source information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making  
  • Identify, engage and manage a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders
  • Prioritise work effort and resources accordingly
  • Engage the capabilities of the entire organisation 
  • Strive to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste

About You

  • Undergraduate degree from a recognized post-secondary education institution, in a related field
  • Ability to work flexible across multiple teams and stakeholders
  • Your communication and influencing skills will be key strengths
  • You will be a self-starter who has an eye for detail and is agile to change
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Chartered Professional in Human Resources designation is preferred
