About the Role
Contributes to the management and maintenance of complex dashboards, visualisations and data models as part of a portfolio of data & analytics products including improvements and deploying enhancements to improve product performance.
- Facilitates data analytics enhancement projects, ensuring the projects deliver on time and meet the needs of the business in accordance with
- BHP standards.
- Coaches and mentors' team members on key data analytics skillsets, including Power BI, SQL, and Python.
- Establishes cross-functional data governance and support adoption and adherence to data quality and process governance in the relevant collaborating functional areas.
- Develops and monitors data governance frameworks, policies and best practices across IPO in consultation with IPO Leads and Principals.
- Oversees the data warehousing strategies that provide consistent, clean and integrated data.
- Designs, develops and enables performance management through identification of data sources and extraction methods to automate data pipelines
- Manages and maintains complex dashboards, visualisations and data models as part of the management of a portfolio of data & analytics products
- Supports ongoing insight analytics product management, business intelligence and reporting teams and product lifecycle activities associated with data and analytical assets
- Designs and implements innovative reporting automation solutions using various tools including Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate
- Communicates with stakeholders across the board to make sure the goals are clear, and the vision is aligned with business requirements
- Ensures data quality and report integrity through build and testing procedures
- Identifies and assesses risks, making risk informed decisions, using BHP's risk management framework and building a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes
- Engages with stakeholders to design and maintain meaningful dashboards that support the better business decisions and better management of performance metrics
- Takes ownership of key pieces of development projects partnering with senior team members within a multi-skilled project team
- Uses, stores, classifies, assesses and processes data/metadata in alignment with BHPs standards and requirements for data quality management, integrity and governance.
- Analyses and models data to draw out insights and solutions that address hypotheses and business challenges. Ensures products are built as per defined requirements
- Supports testing phase to product testing results including but not limited to unit testing, integration testing, acceptance testing
About You
- Experience as a data analyst or related role
- Experience with relational databases & SQL
- Experience with Power BI, Power Apps and Power Automate
- Experience with Snowflake & AWS Sagemaker preferred
- Exposure to end to end project management (Waterfall/Agile
- methodologies)
- Intermediate knowledge of DAX and Python
