About the Role

 

The Specialist Payroll Validation will work as part of a team in Global Business Services (GBS) and partner with our external payroll administrator to implement and govern payroll controls and processes to ensure employees are paid correctly and on time. 

 

 

  • Perform payroll controls and validations for each pay run.
  • Provide technical payroll advice, including investigation and resolution of complex payroll enquires and escalations. 
  • Perform additional layer of validation for Enterprise Agreement implementation
  • Identify and manage payroll compliance and risk, including remediation and improvement projects.
  • Provide assistance and coaching to other team members and stakeholders, specifically our outsourced payroll provider.
  • Support the open communication, collaboration, sharing of ideas and information within the GBS HR teams.

About You

 

  • Extensive experience in SAP payroll applications and SpinifexIT Easy Reporter.
  • Have deep technical knowledge of Australian payroll regulations.
  • Have strong Microsoft Excel knowledge and skills.
  • Have a strong understanding of Australian payroll compliance and risk and be able to prioritise remediation and improvement based on both value and risk.
  • Demonstrate project management skills and be responsible for leading and executing projects as well as driving remediation and improvement initiatives to completion.
  • Have a continuous drive for process improvement by proactively identifying and implementing process improvement initiatives within the team. 
  • Exhibit strong stakeholder engagement and influencing skills, being able to work collaboratively across all internal and external teams.
  • Attention to detail, good analytical, investigative and problem solving skills.
