About Potash
The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.
Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. To find out more about Potash and the Jansen project, click here.

About the Role
Based in Saskatoon and reporting to the Manager HR North America, this is your opportunity to step into a dynamic role where you’ll make a real difference. In this role, you will:
- Lead proactive HR partnering through regular connections with leaders, ensuring accurate and timely HR master data processing and payroll accuracy.
- Be the go-to concierge for leaders, managing complex or sensitive cases with confidence and driving timely resolutions.
- Support and coach leaders with HR Policy support and interpretation.
- Manage administrative tasks related to new member (employee) enrolments, ensuring accurate documentation and timely processing
- Collaborate with leaders and partner with the customer to support planning activities linked to complex transactional work.
- Deliver impactful projects aligned with GBS HR priorities and customer needs, driving measurable results.
- Work closely with our HR Operations team and provide specific context and support where required.
- Support organizational changes, including restructures, bulk moves, and data updates that keep the business agile.
- Contribute to Front Line Compliance projects through data analysis and master data updates to support payroll accuracy.
- Identify and drive continuous improvement across all aspects of the GBS HR value chain.
Work Location
Downtown, Saskatoon office. 40 hours per week. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.
About You
To succeed in this role, you will:
- Leverage HR systems such as SAP and SuccessFactors, along with collaboration tools, to deliver accurate and timely service.
- Support asset-wide initiatives through your project management experience.
- Bring hands on transactional experience in a complex environment, ensuring efficiency and precision in everything you do.
- Show strong analytical skills, with the ability to consolidate information, apply critical thinking, and deliver solution-focused outcomes.
- Champion continuous improvement, spotting opportunities to enhance customer experiences and spearheading impactful improvement projects.
- Build trusted relationships and strong rapport, with proven stakeholder management and prioritization skills.
- Elevate the customer experience through exceptional engagement and collaboration.
- Be willing to travel to Jansen Mine on a regular basis to support our customers.
