About the Role
This role is primarily responsible for providing specialized investigations as a key member of BHP’s Global Investigations Team, investigating Category A matters.
Provide knowledge and expertise in conducting investigations. Support the delivery of investigations by effectively and efficiently assisting in the management of concurrent Category A investigations.
Role Responsabilities:
- Investigates Category A Matters across BHP’s global operations in accordance with the Global Investigations Framework, including:
- Leading low to moderate complexity investigations,
- Undertaking or supervising forensic review of electronic communications and documents,
- Conducting interviews with reporters and other key personnel and / or third parties,
- Analyzing, making conclusions and identifying organizational factors related to investigation outcomes,
- Engaging with relevant individuals and stakeholders participant of the investigation, on regular basis, to maintain adequate level of information on progress, and
- Preparing supporting documentation for investigations, including records of witness accounts and investigation reports;
- Prepares Investigations Summaries.
- Engages with key stakeholders as appropriate to provide input / resolve questions they may have as part of the investigation process.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
- Drives continuous enhancement of the Investigations Framework; and
- Creates a culture of trust and collaboration with the business representatives to foster learning environment.
- Support end to end integrated and coordinated care. Facilitate interactions between key stakeholders.
- Knowledge about our processes and support available, including mediation (where suitable). Being able to explain what options are available and how they work.
About You
To be a top performer you will need:
- Degree qualified in Law, Human Resources or Employee Relations, Investigations or related field (or extensive relevant equivalent experience).
- Demonstrated analytical, organisational and oral and written communication skills.
- Formal recognised investigation, evidence gathering and interviewing experience.
- At least 2 years’ experience undertaking regulatory, criminal or employment-based investigations.
- Desirable experience operating in a corporate environment, preferably the Resources sector.
- Demostrated ability to manage multiple investigations simultaneously.
