About Mount Arthur Coal
Mount Arthur Coal is an open-cut coal mine 100 per cent owned by BHP. Located in the Hunter Valley, New South Wales it's the largest producer of energy coal in the region, operating alongside olive growers, wine makers, horse breeders and the nearby residential community of Muswellbrook.

About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent Reliability, the purpose of the role is to develop, maintain and communicate site maintenance plans in line with Work Management Processes and within tolerance of the respective equipment Strategies.
The role is, located in Muswellbrook on a Monday-Friday roster.
In this role you will:
- Create work notifications, and plan work orders to enable effective use of our resources (people, parts, and equipment)
- Apply technical knowledge and understanding of the equipment and maintenance practices to develop fully resourced work plans
- Carry out planning activities including arranging resources and material requirements
- Working with maintenance scheduler and execution teams to ensure optimise work plans are implemented during maintenance activity
- Maintain strong relationship with Fixed Plant Maintenance execution and Maintenance Execution Centre of Excellence team
- Involve in the improvement of weekly rolling schedule and allocate resources based on risk to compliance-to-plan
- Schedule work based on the prioritisation of the task and support rescheduling as priorities change
- Develop weekly Gantt charts and handover the fully loaded week +1 work schedules to the Maintenance Execution team
- Participate in weekly planning meetings involving stakeholders from Execution, Supply, Strategy Owners, and other Planning team members
About You
- Previous demonstrated experience in a planning role ideally coupled with exposure to Maintenance execution.
- Familiarity with earth moving equipment maintenance and component make-up (shovels, excavators, drills, haul trucks, loaders, dozers, graders, etc.)
- Strong process discipline and adherence to systems and frameworks, along with thorough job analysis and planning detail
- Organisational skills with a focus on managing changing priorities and deliverables.
- Problem solving abilities and the ability to find lateral solutions.
- Well-developed communication and engagement skills with a diverse group of local and remote stakeholders and groups
- Experience working with 1SAP or other Work Management Systems
- Experience with Master Data and Continues Improvement will deem advantageous.
- Trade qualified is preferred, But not essential, knowledge of HME will be highly regarded.
