About the Role
We are seeking proactive and talented individuals to join our high-performing team on site. Reporting to the Technology Site Operations Supervisor. We are looking for someone who is looking to grow and develop into this role, while being supported by an experienced team and leader and you will have opportunities to gain additional qualifications supported by the business. Working on a world class site, you’ll play a key role in ensuring our Operational Technology systems function seamlessly to support safe and efficient operations. While this setting is unique and can be challenging, it provides the chance to develop specialized skills and be part of a close-knit team driving innovation in mining and processing technologies. These positions operate on 7 on / 7 off roster (D/N), with flexible options for residential (Moranbah) or Drive in Drive out (DIDO/BIBO) from Mackay or similar regional areas.
What You’ll Do
- Work within a high performing inclusive team with a can-do attitude
- Ensuring day to day availability and maintenance of site’s Operational Technology Systems; Fleet Management Systems (Modular, Front Runner and Terrain), Digital Radio (DRS - Motorola), Network Switches and Servers, CCTV, Wireless Telemetry System (WTS - Cisco), LTE networks, Fuel Management systems, Site control systems (PLC/SCADA) and site security access system
- Foster a positive and collaborative team culture aligned with our core values.
- Provide input to resolve priority technical issues effectively and efficiently.
- Build and maintain strong working relationships with operational and support teams.
- Assist in training team members and other personnel to enhance site capabilities.
- Lead and support initiatives that add value to the business through innovation and continuous improvement.
- Support production teams in troubleshooting and problem solving
- Execute work orders as per schedule and/or as directed by the Technology supervisor and completing the relevant work instructions associated with the work orders.
- Validate quality of work performed prior to completion
About You
Have you recently completed an apprenticeship in a Mining or Heavy Industrial environment as Auto Electrical, Radio/LTE/Industrial Wireless Communications, Industrial Electrical/Instrumentation or similar with an interest in Technology and looking to start a new career?
