About the Role
We are looking for an experienced and passionate procurement professional to join the Infrastructure & Services value chain at Minerals Americas in a permanent role. The successful candidate will report to the Value Chain Leader and will be responsible for managing service contracts for the operation.
Main Accountabilities:
• Develop effective relationships with internal business leaders to understand business requirements, forecast demand, and verify that established contracts are effective.
• Develop collaborative relationships with suppliers to ensure optimal delivery quality and sustained performance in line with business objectives.
• Generate action plans along with the operation to achieve commercial and productivity KPIs for the Operational Services areas.
• Identify and implement improvement initiatives in the category, managing our portfolio and creating synergies with other sub-functions.
• Gather requirements and analyze key data inputs from multiple sources (internal and external) to create robust category and sourcing strategies.
• Lead sourcing and negotiation strategies using market intelligence and best practice tools such as clean sheeting, e-Auctions, TCO analysis, others.
• Ensures integration of category strategy across the function (purchasing, warehouse, inventory, logistics, COMEX, payments, A&I, marketing) and operations, to ensure the lowest cost of the inbound supply chain.
• Runs vendor performance reviews to track performance against contract and business requirements.
• Establish collaborative work spaces with key stakeholders through standardized routines.
About You
To be a top performer you will need:
• Professional degree related to the role.
• 3+ years of relevant industry experience with a focus on supply chain management or production areas related to plant areas.
• Advanced Spanish and English Proficiency.
• Proven ability to influence and participate in all functions and on the site of mining operations.
• Ability to analyze complex business processes, risk factors, and control systems.
• Proven competencies in financial evaluations and business project models.
• Knowledge of materials management and logistics processes.
