About the Role
To play a key part in performing activities within BHP’s Global Contract Management System (GCMS) including providing support to the end-to-end commercial activities undertaken by the regional Commercial teams in delivering capital and operational projects.
- Ensures compliance with the BHP Charter, Code of Conduct, Our Requirements (ORs), Group Level Documents (GLDs),
- Builds relationships with internal stakeholders that are critical in the performance of the role, whilst adhering to the Charter values.
- Undertakes GCMS, 1SAP and Procon support activities relevant to Commercial processes with a committed sense of accountability for the associated outcomes.
- Ensures the accurate completion of all data within systems and tools used to capture data and identify issues within the data, such as missing values, outliers, possible errors, and lack of sufficient data to progress requirements.
- Administers documented Commercial processes relevant to the role, appropriately evidenced to support Business and Functional governance and assurance requirements.
- Identifes and executes opportunities to improve output, process automation, standardisation or simplify people, process and/ or tools and present such opportunities to team leaders.
- Leads contract execution and analysis to maximise operational and financial performance and mitigate exposure and risk.
- Executes end to end commercial outcomes to deliver project key value drivers (such as schedule, cost and quality) for the stakeholder using market research,supplier evaluation, and fact based negotiation.
- Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence-based decision making.
- Applies intelligence on industry trends and market dynamics to drive enhanced decision making and planning.
- Gains supports and negotiates outcomes that achieve mutually beneficial goals.
- Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework, and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
- Mitigates people, environmental and community risks across the value chain, in alignment with sustainability and public policy.
About You
- Experience in procurement role
- Experience in large multinational companies’ environment would be adventagousadvantageous
- Previous commercial, project management or quantity surveying or construction experience on capital projects in the mining, resources or oil and gas industry would be well regarded
