About the Role
Reporting to the production shift Supervisor, this leadership position is critical in enabling and influencing high performance in the Acid Plant Feed Prep team at Olympic Dam. This is achieved through day-to-day execution and monitoring activities, the ongoing mission of safe and stable operations, and leading targeted activities to maintain and build team capabilities.
In this role you will leverage off your wealth of experience with BHP systems and regulations. You will have:
- A sound understanding of the Acid Plant & Feed Preparation areas and the value your role plays in linking culture to improved safety and productivity outcomes.
- Strong leadership skills, develop and empower a high performing team to reach their full potential.
- Ability to play a leading role in our team, delivering collaboration across both maintenance and area customers.
- Experience in driving cultural change, with role modelling and supporting charter values.
- Demonstrated strategic thinking to deliver valued solutions.
- Experience with the specialised BHP systems, Such as, SAP, Fiori, D2, and FLEX.
About You
- Demonstrate the confidence to lead by example, hold yourself and others accountable and coach others in ‘Safety Leadership’
- Have an underpinning focus on personal safety and understand the criticality of effective hazard identification and the implementation of effective controls
- Experience in a processing or production environment as a production leader with BHP Operating Practice understanding and maturity
- Have the ability to communicate well with all stakeholders and develop and grow interdepartmental and vendor relationships
- Experience in sulphuric acid production and/or concentrate filtering and drying
- Demonstrated experience providing leadership, mentoring and coaching of teams
- Passionate about fostering an engaged, inclusive and high performing team environment
