About the Role

The focus of this role is to support the Blackwater Mine deployment teams with project services support to enable effective management and governance of BHP Operating System deployment schedule performance, budget tracking and risk management.

 These positions are regionally based in Queensland supporting our Blackwater operation. Drive In Drive Out, Fly In & Fly Out and residential arrangements will all be considered with BMA company housing or camp accommodation provided. The roster for these positions will be a 5/2, flexible work options to be discussed.

In this role you will:  

  • Contractor management support per the Contractor Management Framework
  • Schedule development and governance and capture detail scheduled activities
  • Govern Performance Tracking including adherence to regional/ site deployment schedules and associated commentary and Budget Control (actual to budget)
  • Preparation for performance reporting and management reporting
  • Planning & Coordination with Asset /Site based Project Services resources including deployment teams and Functional stakeholders
  • Work closely with Central and Site members to record operational and material risks, develop and implement strategies to mitigate the risk and track performance
  • Logistics support for Site specific activities (e.g. setting up visualisation boards etc.)

About You


As the successful candidate, you will possess the following;


  • Working knowledge of the BHP 1SAP system
  • Competent in working effectively with Project management processes (scheduling, cost management, reporting)
  • Ability to use the Microsoft Office packages (Word, Power Point, Excel, One Note, Share Point)
  • Confidence to network effectively across BHP to deliver work outcomes
  • Understanding of commercial context in operations environment which drive financial decisions and support development of reports
  • Excellent written and verbal skills with demonstrated ability to synthesise complex information for technical and business audiences
  • Strong ability to coordinate multiple stakeholder groups to collect quantitative and qualitative information
  • Knowledge of business operations, processes and functions
  • A pro-active approach to identifying and resolving issues
