The Rail Safety Management Systems (RSMS) team are seeking a Safeworking Specialist to join our team to work in a collaborative work environment. As a Rail Safeworking Specialist, you will have strong leadership capabilities which will positively influence safety culture and the initiative to foster relationships and embed safety systems within our operations, being critical to the team's success. The role maintains a strong working relationship between multiple Rail locations and enhances the overall effectiveness of our Rail Safety Management System.
We are seeking residential candidates in Port Hedland on 5:2 (Mon-Fri) or 8:6 roster, or alternatively FIFO from Perth (8:6), that will have the opportunity to form part of the specialist team and be focused on delivering Rail Safety Management standards.
In this role you will:
- Have the skills to develop and demonstrate applicable knowledge of Rail Safety Management System requirements.
- Actively participate in verifying systems and operational change requirements to ensure they meet Rail Safety National Law and regulatory guidance.
- Configure and issue Rail specific reports, findings, and performance trends.
- Engage Rail stakeholders in systems development, design review and be collaborative in achieving results.
- Coordinate and participate in external stakeholder reporting, engagement, and compliance activities.
About You
To be successful in this role, you will possess the following skills and experience:
- Ability to work autonomously and within team environments through remote and office-based environments
- Excellent communication skills both written and verbal
- Agile in dynamic work environment
- Strong Interpersonal and communication skills with an ability to influence
- Ability to implement strategic and tactical plans
- Strong aptitude of continuous improvement and forward focused
- Systems orientated with a focus to deliver results
- Technically minded with an analytical mindset
- Previous working experience in Rail environment (desirable)
