About the Role
Reporting to the Superintendent OS Maintenance West Reliability, this is an integral role in achieving long-term, measurable improvements in Operations Services performance and efficiency, focusing on reliability of service. This is a FIFO role on a 5/2,4/3 roster.
The successful applicant will provide specialist advice and support, execute defect elimination process and undertake reliability improvements focused on the end-to-end maintenance system, inclusive of procedures, work quality and processes.
Responsibilities include:
- Monitoring and reviewing of Operations Services equipment defects and failures that cause disruption to the OS workshop and OS service delivery.
- Lead and participate in defect elimination rhythms and routines (RCA/PPS) across OS Maintenance West scope, ensuring triggered events are reviewed, investigated and actions implemented & monitored for effectiveness.
- Defect elimination through the application of best practice problem solving tools and techniques (RCA, 5 Whys etc).
- Build cross-functional relationships with other WAIO Reliability sub-functions and help replicate improvements across WAIO Operations.
- Develop, optimize and govern OS Workshop maintenance strategies based on sound Reliability principles.
- Provide technical support and recommendations based on findings from data analysis, testing and engagement with internal and external stakeholders including OEM, SMEs and maintainers.
- Mentoring execution team members in defect elimination, work management.
- General understanding of our assets and strategies required to sustain long-term asset integrity.
About You
You will have a logical and analytical mind-set with a passion for problem solving and continuous improvement, and the ability to work collaboratively with team members and stakeholders to deliver outcomes and achieve OS Maintenance West purpose to Master Maintenance & Provide a Safe, High-Quality Service Every Time.
You will have:
- Tertiary/Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Mechatronic Engineering.
- Experience in Reliability engineering will be highly regarded.
- Experience with slow rotating equipment and machinery (especially conveyor maintenance equipment) will be highly regarded.
- Experience in compiling Budgets (Work Management & Capex).
- Understanding of reliability and asset management principles.
- Proficiency in 1SAP.
- Ability to influence, engage with & communicate effectively across multiple levels, functional areas, and external stakeholders.
- A high commitment to safety, quality, attention to detail and procedures.
