We are seeking Expressions of Interest for a Reliability Specialist based within Mooka OCRS on a FIFO/Hedland Residential roster. Reporting to the Lead Plant Reliability Engineer, you will be responsible for:
- Ensuring conformance with the BHP Charter Values, the BHP Group Level Documents, Code of Conduct and relevant statutory obligations.
- Demonstrating and instilling an overriding commitment to health, safety, environment responsibility and sustainable development.
- Providing technical support and advice for RSM plant maintenance.
- Identifying potential risks to the asset and the business.
- Monitoring and reviewing of equipment defects and failures that cause disruption to the workshops and rail network.
- Defect elimination through the application of best practice problem solving tools and techniques (RCA, 5 Whys etc).
- Building, refining and sustaining Defect Elimination routines and processes aligned to our key value drivers, applied throughout all levels of RSM.
- Embedding and sustaining quality control programs to monitor quality of maintenance.
- Mentoring execution team members in defect elimination.
- General understanding of our assets and strategies required to sustain long-term asset integrity.
Skills and Experience:
As the successful applicant you will possess the following:
- Current full West Australian “C” class motor vehicle license or current equivalent Australian State motor vehicle license .
- Electrical or Mechanical Trade qualification or tertiary/bachelor’s degree.
- Highly developed technical capabilities with significant field experience.
- Ability to problem solve and react to unplanned situations in a controlled manner.
- An energetic and enthusiastic approach to work, with a drive to develop and learn.
- Experience in Rolling Stock Plant equipment and machinery or Precision machinery is preferred.
- Ability to work autonomously and meet deadlines.
- Proficient in 1SAP maintenance components and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Good communication and stakeholder engagement skills, inclusive of meeting facilitation.
- Understanding of operations processes, systems, risk management and change management.
- Sound experience in investigation and technical problem solving.
- Experience in the identification of failure modes and criticality. (desired)
- Experience in the evaluation & scoping of investigations & works. (desired)
- Experience in maintenance strategy improvement and optimisation (desired)
