About the Role

Reporting to the Superintendent Reliability, this is a unique opportunity to utilise your well-developed specialist advice, executes analysis and benchmarking of the Maintenance function's end-to-end performance and identifies and implements improvement initiatives that enable functional excellence and support business priorities for continuous improvement.

 

This opportunity will have a significant finance and commercial focus that blends with your understanding of a maintenance function.

 

This position is based in Olympic Dam and can be offered on a 5/2,4/3 roster FIFO ex-Adelaide or residential at Roxby Downs.

 

In this role you will:

• Engage in daily safety leadership activities and discussions to promote safe systems of work across the majority of the surface plant

• Be responsible for the development of the 2 year and 5 year plan

• Quarterly forecasting of financials and expenditure

• Weekly and monthly reviews of financials including implementing actions to improve department expenditure

• Project and scenario evaluations (eq NPVs)

• Development of cost models for regular and ad hoc use.

• Cost analysis, data validation and financial modelling

• Generate regular reporting for the groups and leadership team

• Collaborate across diverse departments (including production, BOS, Finance, planning and maintenance teams)

 

 

About You

• Degree qualified in Finance, Business Engineering or relevant trade experience, with broad exposure to maintenance function

• Experience in a finance or business related role supporting operational groups

• Exposure to high level financial budgeting

• Identify and implement opportunities to improve productivity, efficiency and cost effectiveness

• Open to new challenges and experiences, combined with proactive and intuitive problem solving skills

• Display the ability to work autonomously

• Proven commitment to look after your own wellbeing and the confidence to speak up when others put themselves in harm’s way

• Highly engaged, collaborative and committed to building mutually beneficial relationships across functional teams

• Advanced usage of applications including SAP, Microsoft Excel (including VBA) and Microsoft PowerPoint
