We are currently seeking a Specialist Shutdown Planner to support the Asset Projects Port & Rail, Central and Eastern Pilbara Mines Projects Team. 

About the Role

 

Reporting to the Lead Shutdown Planning the Specialist Shutdown Planning role is critical in supporting our Asset Project Teams in the effective integration and execution of all Project related Shutdowns within the Western Australia Asset Projects Portfolio. The role will play an integral part in the following: 

 

  • Engage with Delivery (Owners Team) and Contract Partners to determine program of work and feasibility 
  • Collaborate with Delivery Owners team and Maintenance Shutdown teams to refine planned works scheduled into the shut plan, ensuring relevant interfaces are managed including consideration for commissioning 
  • Owners’ Team representation and participation in maintenance “line” shut routines from initiation to shutdown execution 
  • Facilitation of Delivery Team Shutdown Planning meetings across respective projects 
  • Summarise shutdown staging plan progress, highlighting risks to shut readiness 
  • Facilitation of Shutdown Staging Plan routines  
  • Review and ensure adherence to WAAP Shutdown Readiness Procedure and WAIO Shutdown Management Standard documentation  
  • Participate in shutdown readiness audits 

Shutdown Activities: 

 

  • Represent Owners Team at Maintenance Shutdown - Shift Progress meetings to report Project Shutdown Progress for the shift 
  • Manage overall project interfaces with maintenance and other work groups during the shutdown 
  • Report on accurate daily planned v actual shutdown progress via the Quantum Reporting tool 
  • Assist shutdown execution in preparation for oncoming shift 
  • Assist commissioning activities ensuring consistency to shutdown processes, procedures and systems  
  • Support Area Owner roles and responsibilities where required 

Post Shutdown:

 

  • Facilitate Post Shutdown Review - Lessons Learnt session with Owners Team and Contracting Partners  
  • Iimplement continuous improvement on current processes and procedures 

About You

 

Skills and Experience:

 

  • Safety focused leader, ability to champion safe work practices, set and maintain a high standard within the workplace 
  • Strong communication with the ability to form trusted relationships and collaborate with a wide range of stakeholders 
  • Solid understanding of end-to-end development, planning and execution of project shutdowns 
  • Proven track record of successfully coordinating & managing shutdowns in a maintenance and or project environment 
  • Ability to work within an integrated & diverse team and work effectively under pressure 
  • Effective time management skills to prioritise work in a fast-paced environment 
  • Highly organised to effectively manage multiple priorities simultaneously 
  • Well versed in MS Project 

  • Highly experienced in 1SAP, Work Management systems & Fiori  
  • C Class Drivers Licence 
  • Authorised Isolator and Lock Box Officer Competency’s (Preferred) 
  • Experienced in the use of Sphera Digital Control of Work System (Preferred) 
  • Extensive shutdown planning experience, demonstrating strong project acumen in complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through execution

Base FIFO Roster - 5 days on and 2 days off / 4 days on and 3 days off
