About the Role
Working with a team of technical SME’s in our Site Applications team, you will coordinate upgrades, enhancements and minor works for a portfolio of 160 Commercial Off the Shelf software products deployed across both IT and OT at WA Iron Ore sites, following defined process frameworks for small project management, lifecycle maintenance, cost control and handover to operations.
In this role, your key accountabilities will include:
- Coordinate minor work activities including preventative maintenance, lifecycle upgrades and enhancement activities to existing products
- Coordinate handover from project delivery teams during the delivery of new applications into the portfolio
- Facilitate scheduling of work activities across the team
- Provide input into budgets and cost models, processing purchase orders and tracking costs
- Provide input into plans to standardise and optimise operational practices
- Work both autonomously and in groups and prioritise work accordingly
- Identify and action opportunities for consolidation, simplification and increased operational excellence
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders
- Strive to achieve 100% safety, 100% customer value and 0% waste
About You
- Experience in coordination of IT system upgrades, associated change management and cost control – there is support from the team to help upskill you in areas where you may have gaps in experience compared to the role description
- Understanding of ITIL Service Management practices (Incident, Request, Change) and how to effectively operate through the end-to-end lifecycle of COTS applications
- Demonstrated experience working collaboratively with a team of technical SME’s
- Excellent communication skills (written and verbal) across relevant stakeholders to provide quick and accurate responses to all queries and relevant support as required
- Tertiary qualification in Information Technology, Project Management or related fields
