About the Role

 

At BMA Goonyella, our people are our greatest strength. We are seeking a Site Systems Specialist to play an important role in supporting safe and efficient operations at Goonyella Riverside Mine, one of Australia’s largest open-cut coal operations.

 

This role will suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively, sharing knowledge, and helping teams build confidence in using our systems and technology.

 


Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems, your key responsibilities will include:

 

· Advising operational departments on training requirements for material risk control and legislative compliance for plant and equipment.

· Collaborating with subject matter experts to develop and review training content and assessments.

· Maintaining the site Training Needs Analysis (TNA).

· Providing mentoring, coaching, and support to On-the-Job Trainers, Assessors, and Training Administrators.

· Generating and analysing training data and conducting training audits.

· Designing and developing training packages to meet operational plans, based on skills needs analysis, training needs analysis, and gap closure activities.

About You

 

You will bring a mix of technical skills and a collaborative approach. The successful applicant will demonstrate:

 


· Experience in training administration or specialist roles.

· Certificate IV in Training and Assessment.

· Proficiency in using a Learning Management System, with an openness to further build skills and strengthen operational relationships.

· Understanding of AQF and ASQA requirements.

· Industry knowledge to support the planning and development of effective training materials.

· Ability to balance business needs with practical solutions.

· Capability to provide advice on legislative training and licensing requirements with a supportive, customer-focused approach.

· Strong skills in Excel and Outlook with a high level of attention to detail.

· Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities.
