About the Role
Peak Downs Mine are seeking a Site Systems Specialist to play an integral role in supporting safe and efficient operations at our Mine Site.
This role will suit someone who enjoys working collaboratively, sharing knowledge, and helping teams build confidence in using our systems and technology.
Reporting to the Superintendent Site Systems, your key responsibilities will include:
• Develop, maintain and govern requirements for the sites Safety and Health Management System (SHMS)
• Provide technical support in applicable systems including Mine Record and Document Management
• Facilitate Risk Assessments and provide support to develop Site SHMS Documents
• Assist Risk and Control Owners to execute their responsibilities in alignment with Global Standards
• Ability to design, deliver and evaluate various training programs using various instructional techniques and technologies.
• Build and maintain strong internal and external relationships
About You
The successful applicant will demonstrate:
• Knowledge of Document Management Processes
• Previous experience in carrying our Risk Management processes and governance of Safety Health Management Systems
• Sound understanding of Queensland Coal Mining Safety and Health Act, Regulations and other applicable legislation and Recognised Standards
• Ability to balance business needs with practical solutions and problem-solving
• Strong skills in Microsoft Office with a high level of attention to detail
• Well-developed organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities in a fast-paced environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively engage at all levels
• Strong knowledge and experience with surface Training Needs Analysis
• Providing mentoring, coaching, and support to Trainers, Assessors, and Training Administrators
• Ability to analyse data and conduct audits of various types
• Confidence with public speaking and facilitation
