About the Role
The role is accountable to the monitoring, analysis evaluation and management of inventory, to deliver a sustainable Inventory strategy that ensures the optimum Inventory profile for a specific Category of Inventory in line with current and future state business requirements.
Main Accountabilities:
• Applies an understanding of end-to-end Supply Chain to enhance efficiency, drive optimisation, and maximise value for the strategic inventory categories.
• Leads site engagement routines to apply relevant material classification and stocking strategies to optimise inventory levels
• Balances customer requirements with Supply Chain capabilities to ensure materials availability and optimized working capital.
• Generate procurement forecast using material demand forecast data from the operations.
• Collaborate with Procurement and operations to determine the lowest total cost decision without affecting service level.
• Lead Supply & Operational planning process (S&OP) to obtain an Integrated Business Planning unifying and planning the optimal Inventory strategy that enable Maintenance and procurement plan.
• Defines the Inventory Category Strategies and generates the Inventory forecast for the scheduled materials to enable the budget and the Procurement plan.
• Monitors and controls the end-to-end supply chain and execute inventory exceptions to ensure that customer demand will met at the right time without impacting operational continuity.
• Works closely across the Supply Chain to ensure alignment with public policy, sustainability and climate commitments.
• Identifies and assesses risks, makes risk informed decisions, uses BHP's risk management framework and builds a risk aware culture to support safe and productive performance outcomes.
• Defines value drivers and determines the boundaries of an opportunity to determine if it is worth further investment.
• Sources information plans and conducts analyses to support evidence-based decision-making.
• Builds collaboration with Operations, Supply, Finance, Operational Services (OS), BOS-Standardised Work, Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) and other groups to optimise maintenance performance
About You
To be a top performer you will need:
• Relevant business degree with preference for related designation.
• Progressive business/commercial development experience in similar roles
• Advanced Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) .
• One SAP Knowledge in Maintenance and Inventory modules and analytics skills (SQL) and/or Power BI (desirable).
• Language: Spanish and English fluent.
• Demonstrated knowledge of Inventory Management.
• Demonstrated experience in Supply Chain Management and/or Demand Planning.
• Self driven and highly motivated professional that likes big challenges, complex problem solving and multiple stakeholder connections and relations.

• Ability to apply logic and commercial acumen to decision making.
