About Potash
The Jansen project in Saskatchewan, Canada is set to become one of the largest potash mines in the world and is located approximately 140 kilometers east of Saskatoon. BHP’s CAD$14 billion (US$10.5 billion) investment in the Jansen project will deliver a potash mine in Saskatchewan designed to maximize sustainability. As the largest investment in Saskatchewan’s history, Jansen is expected to generate approximately 5,500 workforce opportunities during construction and 900 long-term roles.
Jansen's construction will take place over several years with first production planned for late 2026. Once fully ramped up, Jansen is expected to have an initial production capacity of approximately 8.5 million tonnes per annum (Mtpa), with the potential to produce 16 to 17 Mtpa in future stages. Purpose
The Specialist Supply Chain supports the development and the execution of Potash Marketing supply chain activities, including sales and operations processes, technology systems, and BHP compliance protocols. This engagement will include supporting Asset owned supply chain, as well as lead for Marketing-owned distribution activities in North America.

About the Role
To be successful in this role, you will:

• Assist in the process design and implementation of sales forecasting, inventory management, and order fulfillment processes within the framework of the Sales & Operations Planning processes that align with industry best practices.
• Develop and deliver integrated sales and operations processes that align with BHP standards and efficiently connect marketing and operations functions.
• Support the Sales and Marketing team during the technology implementation phase, including set-up and deployment of SAP, Integrated Planning systems, and logistics systems. Help define roles and responsibilities for system usage, data management, and system maintenance.
• Advise on customer contracts, warehouse, and logistics contracts.
• Support the evaluation of potential partners and facilities, ensuring compliance with BHP’s Health, Safety, Environment, and Operations standards.
• Contribute to distribution modeling and identify opportunities for efficiency improvements and risk mitigation across the North American and global supply chains.
• Support the development of procedures for customs clearance and work with the Legal team to ensure compliance with state-by-state US regulatory and reporting requirements.
• Collaborate with internal teams to establish and maintain reporting systems that ensure adherence to US and global regulations and compliance standards.
• Assist with customer product registration, regulatory compliance activities, and the preparation of technical files, certificates, and other documentation.
• Work closely with cross-functional teams, including Marketing, Legal, Compliance and Operations, to ensure alignment and successful execution of sales and operations planning processes, regulatory compliance, and logistics strategies.
Work Location
This position will be based in Saskatoon with regular visits to the Jansen mine site. The associated work schedule will be 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday. Hybrid working (flexible, shared workstations and a combination of office and work from home) is standard for BHP.
BHP offers domestic relocation assistance to support the successful incumbent in transitioning, if required. Benefits offered as part of the relocation program include (but are not limited to) new home purchase assistance, temporary accommodations, home finding trip and a resettlement allowance.
About You
To be considered, you will need:
• Tertiary qualification in a commercial, economic, technical or relevant discipline.
• Extensive work experience in Logistics or Sales related roles in North American commodity markets.
• Familiarity of commodity markets, particularly rail and logistics supply chains.
• Proven experience in commercial contracting for third party logistics providers.
• Advanced knowledge of risk management, HSE and compliance.
• Experience in technology systems implementation and change management.
• Good inter-personal skills, understanding of local culture, and ability to work collaboratively.
