One of Australia’s largest mines and a complex minerals processing operation, Olympic Dam, is unique in that we produce Copper, Uranium, Gold and Silver. The local township of Roxby Downs is an active and progressive community offering a variety of modern, well equipped housing, educational, health, sporting, leisure, shopping and cultural facilities.
We are seeking a talented individual to take on the role of Shutdown Specialist based within our Surface Maintenance Execution team. Reporting directly to the Execution Shutdown Coordinator, in this role you will have the opportunity to add real value to maintenance, guiding improvement activities, transforming services and supporting our people.
This role will be offered on a 5/2, 4/3 FIFO (from Adelaide) roster, or on a 5/2 residential roster if you are based in Roxby Downs.
In this role you will:
- Foster positive & productive working relationships and team culture
- Set and maintain clear safety standards within the leadership team
- Lead safety investigations and risk assessments
- Build capability through coaching, mentoring and provide technical advice and support OS maintenance teams
- Lead and support continuous improvement opportunities
- Timely data collation, analysis and sharing of key work management metrics
About You
- Well-developed communication skills and a track record of achieving results through using your influence
- The ability to successfully lead and work within a team environment and build effective working relationships
- Flexible, team-orientated approach with pro-active communications skills
- Dedicated commitment to safety and continuous improvement with the demonstrated ability to identify these opportunities
- Experience or a fast learner with work management software tools (e.g. 1SAP)
- Experience gained in a shutdown environment would be advantageous
- Demonstrated computer skills (i.e. Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint, Project)
