About the Role

We are seeking self-motivated Talent Acquisition professionals who are ready to make a difference in attracting future talent. Joining a Global Talent Acquisition function, you will be a member of a dynamic, professional, friendly, and collaborative team.


We have opportunities for 6-month and 12-month fixed-term contracts, with the potential of becoming permanent.

 

As a Talent Acquisition professional, you will be responsible for:

 

  • Driving proactive sourcing including talent pool management and brokering to support BHP's operational objectives across both high-volume and corporate cross-functional roles.
  • Leading end-to-end recruitment activities, including strategy, screening, assessment, selection, and contract negotiation.
  • Being known as a trusted partner to Hiring Managers across our operations using data and intelligence to inform recruitment tactics and strategies.
  • Identifying, engaging, and managing a range of diverse internal and external stakeholders.
  • Leading other specialized functions such as systems management, process improvement, recruitment branding, insights, and analytics.

About You

 

We have a strong focus on finding individuals with the right values. Your interpersonal skills will foster collaborative working relationships, and your ability to consolidate and analyze information will provide critical thinking and a solution-focused attitude.


You will have access to technology that will enable you to work flexibly, which is key to BHP’s success in addressing the requirements of a diverse workforce. Key requirements include:

 

  • Ideally, you should be a recruiter with experience in high-volume recruitment or corporate cross-functional roles. Experience in the resources sector or heavy industry is a plus
  • Your strong communication, customer service, problem-solving, and organizational skills will be assets, as will your attention to detail and your talent for engaging with a diverse range of stakeholders to build relationships.
  • Prior experience in a Talent Acquisition position with sound business acumen.
  • Experience in candidate sourcing and talent pooling.
  • Amenable to working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to handle multiple roles at varying stages of a process and perform all resourcing process steps within the global Applicant Tracking System with a high degree of technical competence.
  • Strong communication, judgment, and influencing skills to coach and influence stakeholders.

 

Location: We have opportunities available in either Perth. Brisbane or Adelaide offices
