About the Role

 

We are currently seeking Specialist Trainers with experience in the Komatsu FrontRunner Autonomous system to join the WA Asset Projects Autonomous Haulage Project Delivery Team. This is an exciting opportunity for safety focused individuals, who demonstrate a proactive approach to mentoring employees. These roles will be responsible for delivering a high level of Komatsu FrontRunner Autonomy Training, driving continuous improvement and having the ability to problem solve from rapid change.

If you have experience as Autonomous Mining Trainer & Assessor and Autonomous Operator Experience the following areas and, we want to hear from you!

 

Or you may have experience in 

 

  • FrontRunner Field Officer/ Pit Patroller
  • AH Mine Control
  • Autonomous Mobile Maintenance (Calibration Pad, Fuel Bullet, Mode Change)


In this role you will be required to:

 

  • Drives business improvement through the measurement of BHP's performance.
  • Train and assesses operators and improve training programs to maintain safety, compliance and performance during mining operations.
  • Ability to work autonomously in regards to effective decision making & problem solving regarding the delivery of the project
  • Competent with completing candidate reports on their progress and supporting with strategies to drive success.
  • Sources information, plans and conducts analyses to support evidence based decision making.
  • Implements Training & Governance practices to control compliance of BHP Training records.


The role is FIFO on an 8 days on, 6 days off, day shift only roster based at out Mining Area C mine site in the Pilbara.

About You

 

As the successful candidate, you will hold one of the following minimum level nationally recognized skill set or certification in assessing.

 

  • Enterprise Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00015) 
  • Assessor Skill Set (TAESS00011 or TAESS00019)  
  • Certificate IV in Training and Assessing (TAE40110, TAE40116 or TAE40122) 

You will possess the following skill: 

  

  • Strong communication and relationship management skills 
  • Front Runner System experience as an operator and / or trainer
  • Experience in delivering face-to-face training in the classroom / field, including both training & assessing
  • Prior exposure in autonomous open cut mining 
  • Demonstrated commitment to continuous improvement 
  • Minimum C Class Driver’s license unrestricted is essential 
  • Advantageous - Experience in operating two or more of the following Surface Mobile Equipment or equivalent: 
    • Liebherr 9400, 9600 or 996 Excavators 
    • CAT 980, 992, 994, WA1200 or WE1850 Loaders 
    • CAT D10, D11 Track Dozers 
    • CAT 16, 18 or 24 H/M Graders
    • CAT 854K Wheel Dozers
