About the Role

 

Reporting to the Supervisor Training Governance, this role supports our leaders in creating and implementing effective training programs across BHP’s Carrapateena site.

 

You will be a champion of and coach to our leaders around utilisation of the LMS, ensuring training compliance, and maintaining learning system processes.

 

 

This position is based at Carrapateena on a 5/2, 4/3 FIFO basis.

 

 

 

In this role you will:

 

  • Support Department on crew trainers and Leadership to ensure training compliance and quality
  • Resolution of system-related inquiries and LMS user-support
  • Create and maintain the Asset’s processes and configuration specific to learning systems
  • Maintain accuracy of records management and governance
  • Designs solutions, appealing to the learner and complementing their learning style by applying adult learning principles and best practice learning design
  • Identification and development of learning materials and courseware to provide optimal learning experiences
  • Work collaboratively across a wide range of internal and external stakeholders with varying degrees of seniority
  • Deliver quality programs to intended audiences, achieving programs’ objectives and ensuring learning transfer occurs for each participant

About You

 

  • Certificate IV in Workplace Training & Assessment or Diploma is required, with a technical trade or qualification desirable.
  • Experience within mining, processing or heavy industry or technical environments
  • Professional training, facilitation and presentation skills, with online development desirable
  • Demonstrated experience in continuously improving training content development and delivery
  • A strong understanding of adult learning principles and the ability to apply a mix of methods to ensure learning transfer
  • Previous experience with Learning Management Systems - SAP SuccessFactors and Moodle is highly advantageous
  • A willingness to lead and implement change, as well as influence and mentor others in training and safety principles and behaviours
  • Proven ability to build highly effective working relationships across a range of internal and external stakeholders
