About the Role

 

This role will be focused on the effective management, coordination and deployment of entry level programs and broader initiatives across Copper SA.

 

Taking the lead for the Supervisor Acceleration Program, Traineeships and the Indigenous Development Program, this role will continue to develop clear learning pathways that leverage opportunities across the suite of programs delivered by the Asset Training Team.

 

A role where you will have significant stakeholder engagement across all levels of the business, you will influence change and impact outcomes that optimise BHP’s biggest resource…our people!

 

This role is based in Adelaide offering excellent flexibility.  Travel to site will be required.

 

 

In this role you will:

  • Apply an understanding of the business context, BHP operating model and ways of working to enhance decision making, productivity and value chain performance.
  • Collaborate across BHP to assimilate best practices in accelerating the diversity agenda through supporting programs
  • Delegate to Program Sponsors
  • Coordinate program forums and events in line with Program requirements
  • Conduct continuous improvement activities, supported by BOS principals and ways of working
  • Provide pastoral care to program participants
  • Support the wider program roles to ensure successful and sustainable programs

About You

 

  • Demonstrated experience in a similar role
  • Knowledge and experience of the SA Traineeship system
  • Solid understanding of the VET sector, AQTF, national training standards and processes
  • Experience in adult learning preferred
  • Exceptional communication and presentation skills and the ability to engage across a multitude of stakeholders and levels, both internal and external
  • Proactive working style, great use of initiative and exceptional level of attention to detail
  • Formal qualifications and/or equivalent experience in Training, Human Resources or Organisational Development is advantageous
