About the Role

As the Structural Geologist you will be part of a team responsible for producing high standard geological maps and quality technical reports by utilising 4D thinking and practical problem solving skills.

Reporting to the Superintendent for Geoscience Technical, you will work primarily on geological mapping with structural focus, 3D Geological modelling within Open Pit and Underground mines and Brownfields terrains also supporting mine geologists coaching and training.

The role is based in Perth working Monday to Friday, with regular site trips supporting the mine operations and exploration within the Agnew-Wiluna greenstone belt.

In this role you will have the opportunity to:

  • Support mine operations production and safety factors; a main input for geological modelling and ground support;
  • Receive training and develop as a structural geologist;
  • Participate in exploration targeting activities.


About You

To be successful in the role you will require: 

  • Degree qualified in applied geology;
  • WA C-Class drivers licence;
  • High degree of competency in Leapfrog modelling software;
  • Competency is highly regarded for other software packages including Datamine, GOCAD, Deswik, ArcGIS and ioGAS;
  • General knowledge in volcanic systems, sedimentary, metamorphic processes as well as higher degree in structural geology would be highly regarded;
  • Previous exposure to underground and open pit production environments;
  • Previous experience with pit, underground mapping and structural core logging.
