About the Role

 

We are seeking an experienced and motivated Maintenance Superintendent to lead the CPP1 team at Goonyella Riverside Mine. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safe, reliable and efficient performance of our Coal Preparation Plant through strong leadership, proactive planning, and execution excellence.

 

As the Maintenance Superintendent, you will be accountable for:

 


· Leading a high-performing maintenance team to deliver safe and sustainable outcomes.

· Overseeing maintenance strategies, planning, and execution for the CPP1 facility.

· Driving compliance with statutory, safety and environmental obligations.

· Ensuring asset reliability, availability, and performance through preventative and predictive maintenance.

· Building capability and engagement across your team while fostering a culture of continuous improvement.

· Partnering with operations, engineering, and reliability teams to achieve production targets.

About You

 

We are looking for a results-driven leader who thrives in dynamic environments. You will bring:

 

· Proven leadership experience in maintenance within mining, heavy industry, or processing environments

· Degree or trade qualifications in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent)

· Current Queensland Coal Mining Supervisor S123 (or willingness to obtain)

· Strong technical knowledge of fixed plant maintenance (preferably coal preparation plants)

· Demonstrated ability to influence, coach, and develop diverse teams

· Strong focus on safety, continuous improvement, and operational discipline

· Demonstrated experience with SAP, CMMS, or equivalent maintenance management systems

· Excellent stakeholder engagement and communication skills
